Shri Chaitanya Sridhara Sangha

Philosophy
The first aspect to consider, if we want to know the purpose of life and therefore who we are and why we are in this world, is to understand that our self is spiritual and not material.
In other words, we are spiritual souls imprisoned in material bodies that must submit to the harsh laws of matter (a continuous succession of births and deaths and consequent changes of body, interspersed with temporary pains and joys, caused by the reactions to our material actions (karma).
As spiritual souls, we are parts and particles of God, the Omnipresent and Cause of all causes. In Sanskrit sanatana dharma means "the eternal inherent quality" and designates the intrinsic, permanent, and original characteristic of every soul, which is to serve God, to be used for His satisfaction.
In the satisfaction of the Center, everything is satisfied because our being is also part of that Center and therefore we too will be satisfied. This is transcendental knowledge!
The spontaneous and natural tendency of every soul and its true duty is to serve God with love and devotion in a constant harmonious, serene, and joyful relationship, just as heat and light are inseparable characteristics of fire or liquidity is of water.
This concept is opposed to the concept of “religion” or “religious duty” simply called dharma, which designates the material duty of every being, which can be changed over time for various reasons (conversion, loss of faith, new birth in a different context, etc.)
Philosophy helps us develop the innate tendency to serve and shows us how to awaken it. From the Holy Scriptures revealed, we learn that among the infinite forms of God, the Supreme Personality is that of Sri Krishna, because among His infinite attributes stand out Beauty, Charm, Seduction, Sweetness and therefore He attracts every being to His service more than anyone else.
The devotee who offers his whole self for the satisfaction of the only Object of his love, Sri Krishna is called “Vaishnava”.
“Vaishnavism” can be translated as “Devotion to Vishnu (God)” and to all His incarnations. It is a monotheistic conception where the search for a relationship with the personal aspect of God (Bhagavan) predominates.
The most attractive and fascinating relationship to develop is that with Sri Krishna, who in the splendor of His Being and in performing His divine pastimes highlights His characteristics of Beauty, Enchantment, and Grace, emphasizing them as superior to Knowledge and Power, which are also present in Him in a perfect way!
It is fundamental in the path of spiritual realization to accept the loving guidance of an Spiritual Master authentic and genuine who has already realized the Truth and can therefore give it to us purely and give us the right example to follow.
We can presumptuously delude ourselves that with our limited strength and skills it is possible to elevate our consciousness and advance on the spiritual path, but in reality we are not capable! Just as it is not possible in everyday material life to perfectly learn a trade, an art, or anything else, if someone more experienced than us does not give us the example and patiently teaches us, step by step!
